Test-Taking Assembly

Time to Take the Test!
Since the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, states have been given autonomy to develop standards and expectations teaching and learning via academic curriculum. The intention is to help direct schools toward common academic goals and unite the community for educational proficiency.
- Standards help set a high academic bar for selection of textbooks, lesson plans and teacher preparation.
- Accountability systems gather specific, objective data through tests aligned with standards. This information is used to identify strengths and weaknesses in the system.
- They help schools focus resources on the best way to promote learning and help parents track their child’s progress.
The downside is schools not meeting the standards are subject to school reconstitutions or closures, as well as requirements for student transfers. With so much at stake it is crucial for students to be fully prepared for THE TEST!
A Test-Taking Assembly?
Many schools are now preparing students for the test, sometimes weeks in advance with coaching related to content review, study habits, test-taking proficiency and preparatory tips and skills. Jay Banks Productions not only prepares the staff and students with high-energy engagement, entertainment that will challenge each participant physically, socially, and emotionally, but also sets the educational stage cognitively in whatever way the school requires (which means we address your specific issues which are predetermined before the presentation via your instructions). Finally, a program with more STUFF than FLUFF!
