C.P.R. (no, not the medical term)!
Research conducted by Gallop Poll and Maritz Research found that about 90% of Americans were unhappy with their jobs AND their lives, and 95% of those unhappy people would, if they had the chance leave everything behind to go back and do it all again! Let’s be a little clearer…the 95% said they would forsake everything they had right now; their spouses, children, jobs, possessions, etc., EVERYTHING for a “do-over.” Now while these statistics MIGHT NOT surprise you (especially if you’re one of the 90%), the grim reality of how this translates into the “day in and day out” routine SHOULD bother you:
- What if your neighbor is one of the 90%?
- What if a cook at the restaurant is one of the 90%?
- What if your mechanic is one of the 90%?
- What if your dentist is one of the 90%?
- What if it’s a law enforcement officer?
- Your doctor?
- Your babysitter?
- Your child’s teacher?!!
So What is the Answer?
While there are many prescriptions that deal with the symptoms, there is no one defining answers to the problem. However, through 30 years of research and engagement in the “real” world of technicians, educators and a wide range of professionals, Jay Banks Productions has identified three “problem-solving” solutions using the acronym, CPR to help audiences learn and remember life-changing, life-defining principles:
C - Character
P – Passion
R – Relationships
